Since its founding in 1988, the Michener Art Museum has built a permanent collection of nearly 4,000 artworks that reveal the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Bucks County and the greater Delaware Valley. From Impressionist landscapes by Fern Coppedge, Daniel Garber, and Edward Redfield to furniture designs by Wharton Esherick, George Nakashima, and Phillip Powell and contemporary work by Syd Carpenter, Paul F. Keene, Jr., Katharine Steele Renninger, and Holly Wilson, the Michener Art Museum’s collection documents the changing relationships of artists to their physical and cultural environments as well as the technical and conceptual innovations that are part of the vibrant and colorful history of the region’s visual arts. Many of the artworks from our collection are now available online. Check back for updates as we edit and enhance our digital holdings!
